KIM Dong-yoo

Born in Gwangju, South Korea. KIM is deeply influenced by semiology and brings this semiologic methodology to his monochrome portrait paintings. He directly uses the micro images to recreate the the images of celebrities from the consumptive culture and build his own unique artistic language. His works have been world-widely exhibited including in several art fairs such as KIAF since 2015 and he also held a solo exhibition in New York in 2015.
