Hiroshi Ohashi

Born in 1967, Japan, Hiroshi Ohashi finished his degree in Tokyo Zokei University in 1991 and then acquired his degree in Graduate School of Conservation, Tokyo University of the Arts in 1999. His works are in certain shapes and bring the viewers to a dream-like space in between the reality and virtuality. He is good at creating an atmosphere of obscure with his child-like sculptures. His early works were mainly duplicating works from his original molds, however, he now creates mostly wooden carving sculptures. His works are widely exhibited in Japan, Taiwan and Beijing and also are collected by Saku Municipal Museum of Modern Art.
