Romero Britto

Romero Britto was born in October 6, 1963 in Brazil, currently lives and works in Miami, U.S.A. Britto is said to be the successor to the Pop artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. His iconic use of vibrant colors with bold graphics are coined with elements of graffiti, pop art and cubism, favored by important worldwide collectors, from ex-presidents of the United States of Bill Clinton, Barack Obama to movie stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger to Michael Jordan. Britto’s works are widely seen from public installations from O2 Dome (Berlin), Hyde Park (London), John F. Kennedy Airport (New York). In addition to a list of extensive commissioned works for famous brands such as the Bank of Brazil, Absolut Vodka, Audi, Bentley, Hublot watches and many more to follow. Britto started painted on paper or cardboard before he learnt about Picasso and Matisse in 1983 during his trip to Europe. Britto establishes his highly unique and recognizable style, he uses the positivity energy seen in his works and contributed to over 250 charitable organizations dedicated to helping others. The works of Britto can be seen in the collection of Museo de Artes, Sao Paulo, Everson Museum Syracuse, New York, California Museum of Art Oakland, etc.
