Yuki INOUE


Japanese 1972


Born in the Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, the artist completed his master's degree at Tama Art University in 2000. The majority of his works use Salamandar, a legendary creature as the main character, and "evolve" serves as the concept behind many of her works. He once taught at Japan's Tama Art University, and won the 20th Taro Okamoto Museum of Modern Art Exhibition's Special Award. Several of his works have further been sold to high acclaim at prestigious art auctions for several consecutive years. He has also been interviewed for several art variety shows and magazines, and is one of the more influential contemporary sculptors and artists of our time.
