Born in Hsinchu, Taiwan, 1988, Hsu Meng Han received her B.F.A from Department of Fine Arts, Taipei National University of the Arts in 2010, and M.F.A. from Department of Fine Arts, Taipei National University of the Arts in 2012. Hsu Meng Han express and records the intimate sense of body and fragments of daily presence utilizing painting. Through the artist’s creative process, she discusses about different life experiences, from death, fear, reluctance, to acceptance of perfection and imperfection, and realizing the poetic sense of solitude and the profound sorrow buried beneath our soul. In recent years, she expand her motifs with photography, focusing on the mere details of everyday life. Hsu Meng Han’s solo exhibitions include, Flesh and the Everydayness (2018), Life freestyle – Daily Imagination (2017), Poetic footsteps (2015), Next Art Tainan (2014), Made In Taiwan – Art Taipei Young Artist Discovery (2012).
