Chinese 1965
Born in Beijing, 1965. Studied in Fine Art Department of Hebei Normal University in 1984-1988, His work was selected and awarded in the "First Chinese National Art Exhibition". Solo exhibition, Hong Kong, China, in 1996. His artwork selected for "The 9th & 10th Chinese National Artworks Exhibition", Shanghai & Guangzhou, China, in 1999 & 2004. His work belongs to the stream of Surrealism. Adept in using gradation of colors, bright contract between light and reflection and geometrical pattern on his works, Liu Hongwei adopts a particular description in part and make his work simplistically in shapes.
