WU Dechun
Taiwanese 1953
Wu Dechun was born in Taiwan in 1953. He graduated from National Taiwan University of Arts in 1975 and moved to France to pursue an advanced graduate degree in art in 1983. He graduated from both Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris and École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris in 1986. Eventually, he decided to stay in Paris and has been working as an independent artist for over 20 years. He took part in numerous world-renowned art fairs and exhibitions such as the International Contemporary Art Exhibition of Monte Carlo, the Besancon Tri-Annual Art Fair, the International Sculpture Exhibition in Collioure, the Contemporary Art Joint Exhibition at Centre Pompidou, as well as several personal exhibitions at some famous galleries in France and Belgium. Recently, he was invited to do a few personal exhibitions at Galerie Jacques Barrères in Paris, and participated in the Maastricht International Contemporary Art Exhibition at Wim de Boer gallery in the Netherlands.
