Justin PONMANY

Born in 1974 in Kerala, India, Ponmany received his degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting at the Sir J. J. School of Art. He was awarded a Fellowship at Sir J. J. School of Art in 1997-1998; received the "4th Biennial Bose Pacia Prize for Contemporary Art" (2003); and "Artist of the Future Award" by National Gallery of Modern Art (2005). His works appeared in solo shows such as "Non-Biodegradable Memory" (2004, Mumbai, India); "Salt (Plastic Memory – Part II)" (2005, New Delhi, India); "Procreation" (2006, Milan); "Who's Keeping Score" (2007, New York). He has participated in group exhibitions "Art Basel" (2006, Switzerland); "FIAC Art Fair" (2006, Paris); "The Armory Show" (2007, New York).
