Koichi was born in Osaka, got the MA in Fine Art, Kanazawa College of Art, Japan. Selected solo exhibitions include: 2009 in Grieder Contemporary, Zürich, "Surrogate Picture" (2007, Tokyo), "Pigeon's Riot" (2006, Tokyo), "Rest of?" (2006, Tokyo). Selected group exhibitions include: "Echo"(2008, Yokohama), "Viva Lolita" (2008, Maddox Arts, London), "Portrait Session" (2007, Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, Hiroshima), "After The Reality" (2006, New York).
