Huang was born in Taiwan in 1971, and received MA in Art & Design from Grays School of Art, Robert Gordon University, U.K. He has held numerous exhibitions included: 2000 "Decomposed City", Edinburgh; 2005 "After Tomorrow: A Solo Exhibition by Vincent J.F. Huang", Shanghai Duolun Museum Of Modern Art, China; 2007 "Melting Penguin," Creek Art, Shanghai; 2007 "An Illusion of Civilization by Vincent J.F. Huang," Butchart International Contemporary Art Space; 2008 "The Last Penguins", Academia Sinica, Taipei; 2011 Modern Atlantis, Artspace, Sydney; 2012 “Tuvalu Pavilion”, La Biennale di Venezia; 2013 “Destiny Intertwined – A Dialogue between Vincent J.F. Huang and Tuvalu”, Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei.
