Luo Dan was born in Chongqing, China. He was an exchange student at Kunsthochschule Kassel in 2003, and at University of Wales Institute, Cardiff in 2006. Luo was a graduate student from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. He is now professor of Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and the son of Dean Luo Zhongli. With his renowned artistic family background, Luo Dan develops his own art path under great attention. He uses common and popular images to express his ideas and Pop colors to add dramatic tension.
