FU Chuanfu

FU Chuanfu, also named Fu Baochin. Fu was born in south bank of Hangzhou family. He learned literature, poem, painting and seal-engraving from his father, Fu Yu(1881-1963). The artist usually trained his painting skills by coping Jiezi yuan hua pu during his childhood. He joined Xiling Seal Society and practiced landscape painting with Wang Chan Lo(1871-1932)for seven years. After the beginning of a war, Fu escaped to China south east area. The artist was inspired by mountainous landscape during that time which changed his painting style a lot.
The artist moved to Taiwan in 1949 and started his professor career in National Taiwan University of Arts. Fu began to create landscape paintings and innovated various calligraphy painting skills. He is one of a pioneer of Taiwan new ink painting.
