QIN FENG

Born in Xinjiang, China in 1961, he graduated from the Shandong Art Institute. He is deemed one of the new forces in contemporary water-and-ink art. He was invited by the Berlin City Government to work as an art ambassador in 1996, and then taught at Berlin University of Art. He founded the Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art in 2006 and served as graduate advisor at Central Academy of Fine Art. He was nominated and became a research associate in the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies in Harvard University. His solo exhibitions were held in many famous museums and galleries like the Asia Center in Harvard University, Asian Cultural Center in New York, U.S. Revolving Museum in Boston, Pace Gallery in New York, etc.
