LEE Chun-Yi


Taiwanese 1965


Born in 1965 in the Southern city of Taiwan, Kaohsiung, LEE Chun-Yi moved to Hong Kong in 1970. He finished his educations first from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and received his M.F.A. degree from the Graduate School of Fine Arts at Tunghai University of Taiwan He completed a doctorate degree in Chinese Art History at Arizona State University, USA. After working in Phoenix Art Museum in Arizona as a postdoctoral researcher, in Chinese painting realm, he moved to Taiwan and teaches in National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei.

His works are in permanent collection of National Taiwan Arts Education Center, Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archeology University of Oxford, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, Arthur M. Sackler Museum Harvard Art Museums Harvard University, Phoenix Art Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Jiangsu Art Museum, etc.

LEE has held numerous exhibitions at some important art galleries and art museums, such as Michael Goedhuis Gallery in London, Chinese Porcelain Company in New York, Hanart TZ Gallery in Hong Kong, Xi Zhi Tang in Taipei, and also been invited to exhibit his works at many group exhibitions, such as Saatchi Gallery in London, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, National Art Museum of China in Beijing China Art Museum in Shanghai, Hong Kong Museum of Art, etc.
