Born in Spain in 1881, active in France. Picasso was a painter, printmaker, sculptor, and writer, who dominated 20th-century European art. Although painting was his principal medium, his sculptures, prints and ceramics all had an impact on their respective disciplines. One of his masterpiece “Les Demoiselles d’ Avignon” is dated to 1907, where five naked women were composed in flat, geometric composition, it is also one of his early work led to the early development of Cubism.
