Born in Hebei, graduated from Beijing Collegeof Art & Design and Zhejiang Academy of FineArts, Shi was the editor of the Beijing Publisherduring 1977 to 1989. He had traveled to Africa,and was obsessed with the traditional cultures ofAfrica; therefore he showed strong personal colorsin the modeling and coloring. His works arehighly praised by the collectors from south-eastAsia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
