HSU Yung Chin


Taiwanese 1951


Graduated from National Taiwan Normal University, majored in Chinese Literature. HSU is a contemporary Chinese Calligraphy artist, who devotes himself to calligraphy art and ink and water paintings, too. His creation often seen in the public collection such as the famous TAIWAN logo for the Tourism Bureau of Taiwan, and the inscription of the Taiwanese movie Monga. He believes that the traditional calligraphy will never be lost in connection with times, and he also emphasizes that through the “open, unframed, no-limitation, rhythm, the nature, and the human being” these elements to create the harmony between the images and characters. HSU says that being a calligraphy artist, you should be brave to break the traditional calligraphy path, and digest it, and thus this will be the nutrient, which allows you to explore more and widely.
