Teisei Sato

Japanese 1945

Born in 1945 in Dalian, China, Teisei later grew up and studied in Japan, and graduated in Tokyo University of the Arts. He was a professor in Wako University, and held numerous exhibitions in Japan. He abandoned the structuralism of his times, forming his works with colorful and delicate colors, and create the Surréalisme-like atmosphere on his canvas. He is one the “post-war 70” artists in Japan.
