Nano WARSONO

Indonesian　1976

Nano Warsono was born in Jepara, Indonesia in 1976. He graduated from the Indonesian Institute of Art, Yogyakarta, in 2002, with a major in sculpture. Warsono’s paintings and sculptures often displace the iconic characters in a fusion context of reality and fiction, in order to display the actually existing issues such as geopolitical power imbalance. Characters that Warsono had used includes Disney characters, Marvel comics, western fairytales, religious figures, etc.
