Denmark-Icelander

Knud Færch, Danish-Icelander. He opted to work with rosewood and teak, and his most significant series is the “Cowhorn Chair”, which includes Model 521, 343, 251 etc., and was produced by Danish furniture manufacturer Slagelse Møbelvaerk. Of all the model prototypes, Model 521 is the most popular on the market, loved by collectors, with beautifully streamlined joinery work that illuminates the most intricate symmetry, and also displays the exquisite craft skill which transforms the chair-making into a formative art realm.
