Hilo CHEN

Born in Yilan Taiwan, Hilo obtained his B.S., Architectural Engineering degree from Chung Yuan Christian College of Science and Engineering in 1966. He went to Paris and New York in 1968 for creating and exploring the life experience. Being a contemporary realistic artist, well known with Walasse Ting and Dennis Hwang in the 70s New York, his delicate photorealistic style presents the beauty of women and flower. He captured movement of models with in photographs and transformed them into the canvas; especially his micro perspective shorten the distance between audience and models, reality and imagination. His works have been world-widely collected, including Guggenheim Museum, New York.
