Hailing from Wuxi, Ting grew up in Shanghai. He once lived in Hong Kong, Paris, New York and Amsterdam. Walked for over half an century, Ting's works remains to be just like himself, honest, natural and innocence, he boldly used vivid colors to express his passion.

Ting is an artist and a poet; he threw away ordinary strains and never stops pursuing beauties in life. He likes to paint flowers, but loves flower-like women more. Women's charm and even their secrets deep down the heart are revealed, the joyful emotions in his paintings are touching.

In 1977, the John Simon Guggenhiem Foundation offered a grant to Ting to publish an art book, Red Mouth, which collected a series of erotic sketches and paintings. He painted "Hot Love"in the same year, the color of the girl's skin in the picture is blue, which is rare, like the summer sky and ocean, beautiful and attractive, he also used vivd colors on the background to create more layers in the pictures and a sense of a summer romance.
