With lots of talents and unrestrained appearance, Ting across the national boundaries, becomes Chinese painters who forging international fame. His works can be found in modern museums and art institutes such as: Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Chicago Art Institute, Detroit Institute of Art, Museum of Fine Art in Boston, Tate Gallery in London, Musee Cernuschi of Paris, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Shanghai Museum of Art and Hong Kong Museum of Art.

Ting excels to women, flowers, birds and animals description, penetrates the paint brush to share this natural world the beauty. He utilizes bright red, greatly green and so on the vivid palette, that the vitality and freshness, brightness pervade in his work. The main characteristic in his works is that the color contrasts extremely harmoniously and coordinates between colors; and the more noticeable is that there is no certainly color on the contour line, but has one kind of infiltration maxing the movement posture. In 1977, the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation offered a grant to Ting to publish an art book, Red Mouth, which collected a series of erotic drawings and paintings. "A Young Woman" was done with a woman theme, the background consist of single color, in which the painter give the form and structure of plants, insects and birds, and full of visual surprising. Ting used the parrots, flowers and cats well to set off feminine beauty, gracious and tenderness.
