Of compressed pear-shaped form rising from a wide protruding foot to a slightly flared neck, finely carved through the overlay with a blossoming flower arrangement next to a basket filled with utensils below a flittering auspicious bat under further inscriptions reading Jinshi tong shou on the left corner, the reverse decorated with a waterpot, brush and brush rest from a scholar’s studio next to a vase extenuated by the elegant form of a pine branch, flanked by animal masks suspending a ring handle on the narrow sides. |
