The stone of a translucent quality incised with spring time blossoming branches on the exterior, finely painted on the interior with a continuous scene of a red crested crane resting gracefully on rockworks with its leg slightly lifted amidst flowering peonies and other spring blossoms, the reverse with a vase of floral arrangement, scholar’s rock and potted plants of the scholar’s studio. |
