A BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER WITH TWO EARS
Qing Dynasty |
The wonderful coloration is like that of a birchleaf pear. It has a round mouth with protruding rimmed edges and an oblique abdominal with a drooping belly. A pair of ears adorn the sides. Three legs extend from the underneath. On the bottom, two rows of characters, Sh. Ji. G. Zhi, are displayed in a square frame. This censer has skilfull lines and a graceful appearance. It is unlike other censers with its own individual style. |
