A BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER WITH HALBERD EARS
Qing Dynasty |
Made from refined bronze with a reddish chestnut-colored coat, the piece is gracefully charming. The mouth is round with a slanted rim that extends into a beamed neck and a deep belly, while a pair of Halberd handles adorns the sides. The ears are slightly raised, exuding a sense of vitality. The circular bottom is held up by three short legs. The words, Qing Feng Dui Yin, are embossed in Seal Script across two rows in a square frame on the bottom. The beautifully styled bronze censer has glossy exterior. The deep abdominal and halberd handles seem to be engaged in a profound dialogue, conveying the praise. This is the only worthy work in both ancient times and the present. |
