A STATURE OF KINGS, A TASTE OF THE DIVINE

Printed in 1994 by the French publisher, Hachette, L'Or du Vin describes the rig- orous selection of the Top 100 Wines of the World by three French wine industry experts. Amongst the top ranked red wines, the one to be crowned with the title, Premiers Exceptionals, was La Romanée-Conti from DRC.

Domaine de La Romanée-Conti (DRC) is located in Côte de Nuits, the essential heart of Bourgogne. In this region spanning only 120 hectares, DRC features six premium vineyards, including the monopole # of La Romanée-Conti and La Tâche; as well as Richebourg, Échezeaux, Grand Échezeaux, Romanée-St- Vivant, and a portion of Montrachet, rare vineyards for the production of white wine.

These single estate wines are all ranked among the Top 100 Wines of the World, justifying DRC's well-known reputation as the greatest wine estate in the world. The most praise-inducing qualities of DRC wines are the rich and varied layers of floral and fruity aromas that bring tinges of apricot brandy, tea, chocolate, and other atmospheres that compose a wide array of elegant, but tasteful fragrances. Yet, the wines produced are able to retain the distinctive flavors endemic to each region of the estate.

# "Monopole" in French is an area controlled by a single winery (or wine company.)
