Deep ruby with virtually no bricking. The fully mature nose is still quite vibrant and altogether youthful in the context of where most 78s are today (even in magnum format), offering up spicy, complex and elegant aromas of secondary fruit. The palate impression is notably fine with an obvious mineral component to it and the middle weight flavors are also fresh and lively with moderate secondary character to the ripe, balanced and still perceptibly structured flavors that offer outstanding length where the only nit is the barest hint of acidity poking through on the finish.
