Vougeot 村介於Chambolle-Musigny 與Vosne-Romanée 之間，自1109 年被熙篤會買下開始發展，直到十八世紀法國大革命後土地被公開拍賣，造就今日分裂細碎的產權，約莫50 公頃的特級園地塊有著多達80 家酒莊的葡萄園擁有者，上中下坡處風土條件的差異與酒莊風格的不同，打造出Clos de Vougeot 多變的風格。
