A BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER WITH TWO EARS
Qing Dynasty |
Made with thick and solid bronze with purplish red skin, this piece is elegant yet solemn. It starts with a round opening and flat rim before narrowing at the neck into a drum abdominal. A pair of Ban handles extend out from either side of the neck and the abdominal. This censer has a slightly flattened round abdominal and a round base supported by three small legs. On the bottom, two characters, Precious Tripod, are written in seal script and are embossed in a square frame. Through the fat abdominal and legs, this bronze censer gives out the charm of plump and perfect roundness. |
